My Review
In Two Moons of Sera Vol. 1-3 we meet Serafay, a half-human and half-Sualwet. Sera is the only of her kind, her mother Nilafay having birthed her after she had been captured by the Erdlanders and being experimented on.The other Sualwet wanted her mother to be rid of her but she did not, going awake to the shore Nilafay made a home for her and her child.
Knowing about her heritage Sera knows that she can not be with the Sualwet sea people but neither would the Erdlanders from the land accept her either as they Erdlanders and Sualwet are at war with each other.
Sera Is on her on a lot of the time and is used to it being just her and her mother, until one day she sees someone, a Erdlanders named Tor.
Tor is also alone in the world and he and Sera strike up a friendship pretty fast in secret of course. But the inevitable happens and the war between the Erdlanders and Sualwet catch up to them on the peaceful beach. Sera’s mother is killed and Sera is forced to flee with Tor to escape the Erdlanders.
This is the start of a very good serial novel I do not want to go into anymore detail really—altogether all three volumes are not too long so I do not want to give too much of the plot away but things take off from here. Sera, Thor and their Mountain Dog are taken to the Camp pretending to have been lost on an expedition and they are both forced to try to fit in.
This is particularly tough on Sera as you might imagine, the Erdlanders hate the Sualwet and she is terrified they may find out about her before she and Tor can find somewhere to escape to.
While all of this is gong on we also have the budding relationship between Tor and Sera as well. At 16 Sera had never seen an Erdlanders before and her attraction to Tor is pretty immediate, likewise on Tor’s part as well I believe. Though he is not very talkative that was the impression I got from him.
Volume two mostly focuses on them at the Camp and how they are settling in and of course the actual relationship between her and Tor and the people they are sharing a ‘pod’ with. I think a pod is the equivalent of an apartment.
This follows with terrible discoveries about the Erdlanders, new info on Tor and what he is and the escape from the Camp.
In the end of the third volume we are left with the cliffhanger of Tor being seduced away by his people and disappearing into the darkness.
Again I really liked this overall I have to say that I did like the last two installments more than the first one—at first I wasn’t to keen on Tor he was just too well ‘huh’ for me as he was along for so long he did not have much of a vocabulary he knew the meanings of stuff he just did not have the words for them I guess. But that rapidly changes in the very first installment and by the third I was in love with him. I can not wait for the fourth installment to find out what happens with Tor and Sera!
Will she get him back from his people, and how? What about the rest of their gang now (it has grown from the two of them and the mountain dog) will Sear seek them out for help in tracking down Tor? And how in the world would she even go about doing that? LOL So many questions!
One thing I do wonder and really it is not of much consequence to the plot I don’t think but I am curious as to what the expeditions into the woods were about.
Overall—I cannot wait for Vol. four and will be tracking this serial until its conclusion. A must read for anyone looking for a good fantasy/romance.
4 Stars!

Later, Pavarti went to work in the finance industry as a freelance accountant for several international law firms. She now operates her own accounting firm in the Washington DC area, where she lives with her husband, two daughters and two terrible dogs. When not preparing taxes, she is busy penning her next novel.
